Abstract
⺠Tobacco smoke particulate matter (PM) was stored at â80 °C for up to 2 years. ⺠Fresh and stored PMs were compared in the Ames test, MLA, MNvit and NRU assays. ⺠Majority of comparisons demonstrated no differences between fresh and stored PM. ⺠Where differences were observed they showed no consistent trends or patterns. ⺠The minor differences were not attributed to a specific storage related effect.
