Abstract
⺠Cigarette smokers recruited into a clinical study in Germany. ⺠Smoke constituent exposure estimated using two methods; filter analysis and biomarkers. ⺠Smokers switched to lower ISO tar yield cigarettes and estimates repeated. ⺠Switching to lower yield cigarette resulted in reductions in exposure estimates. ⺠Good correlation between both exposure estimates, maintained after switching.
