Abstract
► Cigarette smokers recruited into a clinical study in Germany. ► Smoke constituent exposure estimated using two methods; filter analysis and biomarkers. ► Smokers switched to lower ISO tar yield cigarettes and estimates repeated. ► Switching to lower yield cigarette resulted in reductions in exposure estimates. ► Good correlation between both exposure estimates, maintained after switching.
