Abstract
⺠OTA raised Spiâ mutant frequency in the kidneys of p53-deficient gpt delta mice. ⺠OTA induced significant increase of p53 protein levels in the kidneys of mice. ⺠A lack of p53 elevated incidences of apoptosis and karyomegaly in renal tubules. ⺠OTA-induced phenomenon may arise from DNA damage.
