Abstract
⺠Arsenic might inhibit synaptic formation through disturbance of astrocytic functions. ⺠NR2 subtypes might be the target site sensitive to arsenic effects. ⺠Arsenite in astrocytes might down-regulated expression of neuronal CaMKII and AC. ⺠Protein expression of AC changed earlier in response to astrocytic signals. ⺠AC was more sensitive to arsenic effects in astrocytes as compared to CaMKII.
