Abstract
												⺠Human population environmentally exposed to uranium mining wastes. ⺠Significantly higher levels of manganese and uranium in peripheral blood samples. ⺠Significant DNA damages detected by the comet assay. ⺠Significant decrease of NK and T lymphocytes counts in exposed individuals. ⺠Concerns on the risks of human populations living nearby uranium mining areas.
