Abstract
⺠Valproic acid (VPA) induces teratogenesis. ⺠VPA induces ROS and SOD, accumulates homocysteine, and suppresses levels of folic acid and HDAC, resulting in teratogenesis. ⺠Folic acid, vitamin C, and N-acetylcysteine separately alleviate these changes, but partially prevent VPA teratogenesis.
