Abstract
⺠8:2 FTOH inhalation exposure and metabolism were investigated in rats. ⺠The parent 8:2 FTOH showed rapid uptake and clearance from the plasma. ⺠Metabolites were very low and similar to those in plasma following oral dosing. ⺠They consisted mainly of 7:3 Acid, 8:2 FTCA, PFOA and PFNA. ⺠Typical 8:2 FTOH air exposures do not pose toxicity risk for humans.
