Abstract
► The study examines pulmonary response in mice exposed to BaP by oral gavage. ► We examined pulmonary gene and miRNA expression changes and measured DNA adducts. ► We compare the mechanisms of action that operate in lungs relative to the liver. ► We show differences in biological pathways activated in lungs versus the liver. ► We suggest that liver miRNAs are less sensitive to perturbations than lung miRNAs.
