Abstract
⺠Diepoxybutane (DEB) induces severe acute toxicity to human lymphocytes. ⺠DEB toxicity is characterized by GSH depletion and loss of ATP, followed by cell death. ⺠Acetyl-l-carnitine protects human lymphocytes against DEB-induced acute toxicity. ⺠The acetyl-l-carnitine protective effect was potentiated by α-lipoic acid.
