Abstract
► The effects of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) on placental transporters and enzymes were studied. ► AFB1 affected on the expressions of transporters ABCC2, ABCG2 and OAT4. ► AFB1 affected on the placental steroid synthesizing, metabolizing and conjugating enzymes. ► These alterations may lead to anomalies in the foetoplacental hormonal homeostasis.
