Abstract
► We examine changes in the level of biotin-related proteins, BTD and HCS, in Cr(VI)-treated 16HBE cells. ► Exposure of cultured 16HBE cells to Cr(VI) down regulated biotinidase. ► Alterations in BTD were mainly caused by Cr(VI)-induced global or gene-specific changes in histone acetylation.
