Abstract

âº Compounds with LD50Â >Â 2000Â mg/kg are classified correctly with moderate to good accuracy. âº Target-organ specific in vitro assays may reduce number of under-predicted toxicity. âº A revision of the current classification systems is advisable. âº Estimation of the oral dose by including kinetic parameters needs further evaluation.
