Abstract
⺠Taurine functionalized MWCNTs and acid-treated MWCNTs were used. ⺠Tau-MWCNTs showed less cytotoxicity and apoptotic effect than aci-MWCNTs. ⺠Scavenger receptors were involved in MWCNTs induced apoptosis. ⺠Caspase-9-dependent mitochondrial pathway were involved in MWCNTs induced apoptosis.
