Abstract
► CLnA inhibited cell growth of LT-97 more effective than CLA. ► Gene expression of FADS1/2, SCD and ELOVL1/5/6 but not ELOVL2 in LT-97 was shown. ► This study confirmed conversion of CLnA isomers to CLA isomers in LT-97 cells. ► CFA metabolism differed between colon cells: LT-97 (adenoma) and HT-29 (carcinoma). ► LT-97 represent a more balanced FA metabolism compared to HT-29.
