Abstract
⺠BPA possess estrogenic activity and is one of the most thoroughly studied endocrine disruptors. ⺠Genotoxic and carcinogenic properties of BPA are still not precisely investigated. ⺠Metabolically activated BPA is known to be able to bind DNA. ⺠The chemical reactivity of the bisphenol A-3,4-quinone with deoxyguanosine was calculated. ⺠Michael addition of the deoxyguanosine to bisphenol A-3,4-quinone is essential for genotoxicity.
