Abstract
⺠Cytotoxicity of indole phytoalexins was studied in human cancer and non-cancer cells. ⺠Significant cytotoxicity was achieved for benzocamalexin (BC) in cancer cells. ⺠It downregulated α, α1 and β5-tubulin expression and caused G2 cell cycle arrest. ⺠BC also induced apoptosis which was accompanied by increasing Bax/Bcl-2 ratio.
