Abstract
⺠We investigated the cytotoxicity of Al2O3 nanoparticles on mammalian cells. ⺠Al2O3 suspensions were classified as unstable. ⺠We assessed cell viability, apoptosis induction and nanoparticles internalization. ⺠There was no significant increase in apoptosis or decrease in cell viability. ⺠Al2O3 nanoparticles can penetrate through the cells membrane.
