Abstract
⺠Propylene oxide reactivity toward guanine was calculated by quantum chemical methods. ⺠Solvent effects are very important for the control of reactivity. ⺠Chemical reactivity is one of the key factors controlling carcinogenicity. ⺠Transport properties of the ultimate carcinogens are also important.
