Abstract
⺠Pyocyanin generates oxidative stress in A549 cells. ⺠Oxidative stress causally linked to toxicity. ⺠Antioxidant N-acetylcysteine protects against oxidative stress and toxicity suggesting a potential role in therapy. ⺠Oxidative stress may trigger inflammatory responses in pyocyanin by activating NF-κB.
