Abstract
⺠Extended viability of human liver slice model to support mechanistic multiple dosing studies. ⺠Synthesis and maintenance of ATP, GSH and intracellular K+ levels. ⺠High RNA quality for gene expression profiling by microarray and qRT-PCR technologies. ⺠Pathways of regeneration were activated, including demonstrating role of stellate cells. ⺠The model will have the potential for monitoring both injury and repair pathways.
