⺠Lutein-abundant antioxidant carotenoid in the diet. ⺠Safety use of lutein. ⺠Cisplatin induces DNA-instability and oxidative damage of macromolecules. ⺠Lutein counteracts the adverse effects of cisplatin. ⺠HepG2 cells is better than other cell lines because present detoxifying drug system.
