Abstract
At NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (NYP), we believe that in order to provide safe, effective, efficient, quality, and cutting-edge patient care, the provision of nursing services should be evidence based. To realize this belief, in 2011, over 75 clinical nurses from the various NYP sites developed the PEACE framework to facilitate evidence-based practice (EBP) review and the conduct of research utilization. These nurses were members of the nursing evidence-based practice and research (NEBPR) collaborative, shared governance councils.
