Abstract
⺠Glutamine ingestion was studied in rectal cancer patients during preoperative radiochemotherapy. ⺠Patients received 30 g of glutamine for five weeks. ⺠We found glutamine in this dose does not diminish the incidence and severity of diarrhoea. ⺠We also found no influence on inflammatory and metabolic response.
