Abstract
► This study investigated the localization and glycosylation patterns of osteoadherin (OSAD) during metatarsal long bone formation. ► OSAD was initially localized within the developing bone collar, specifically in the osteoid on endosteal surfaces of trabecular bone. ► OSAD glycosylation patterns alter with developmental stage and whether it is bound to mineral during bone formation. ► These findings contribute a potentially important role for OSAD in directing the biomineralization process.
