Abstract
⺠Late menarche is beneficial for adulthood bone strength (cross-sectional geometry). ⺠Controlling for prepubertal age or time before menarche yields different results regarding the effect of age at menarche. ⺠Bone geometry should be considered in evaluating future fracture risk in girls.
