Abstract
⺠Retinol-dependent genes are differentially expressed between wildtype and Phex-deficient primary osteoblasts. ⺠Dietary retinol deprivation partially corrects the skeletal mineralization defects of Phex-deficient Hyp mice without affecting phosphate homeostasis. ⺠Dietary retinol deprivation is more efficient than dietary phosphate normalization to reduce the osteomalacia in Phex-deficient Hyp mice.
