Abstract
⺠The effects of combination treatments with eldecalcitol and alendronate or alfacalcidol and alendronate are examined in ovariectomized rats. ⺠Eldecalcitol with alendronate therapy inhibits bone resorption, while maintaining bone formation by histomorphometric analysis. ⺠Alfacalcidol with alendronate therapy inhibits the histological parameters of both bone resorption and formation. ⺠This study suggests eldecalcitol with alendronate therapy has therapeutic advantages over alfacalcidol with alendronate therapy.
