Abstract
⺠Cortical bone accrual in childhood is under significant genetic control. ⺠Childhood cortical bone is linked to genes on chromosomes 2p, 3p and 17q. ⺠Candidate genes for childhood bone health include the sclerostin and oxytocin receptor genes.
