Abstract
► Genes from the Wnt signalling pathway were analyzed for association to osteoporosis. ► Two separate cohorts of pre- and postmenopausal Swedish women were included. ► Phenotypes included bone mineral density, ultrasound, hip structure and fracture. ► LRP4 was associated with increased BMD and decreased fracture incidence. ► Polymorphisms in LRP5, GPR177 and BMP2 interacted with the LRP4 gene.
