Abstract
âºAdult mice underwent tibial compression to test the effects of age on adaptation. âº2 groups received matching peak loads/strain based on that used in growing mice. âºOnly the Load-Matched group increased cortical and cancellous bone mass. âºThe adaptive response was reduced with aging in adults. âºTibial compression recovered age-related bone mass to levels in growing mice.
