Abstract
⺠Some hibernating mammals may prevent disuse osteoporosis during hibernation. ⺠We studied pre- and post-hibernation yellow-bellied marmots. ⺠We examine differences in bone mechanical and structural properties between groups. ⺠Bone properties between groups are not different indicating prevention of osteoporosis.
