Abstract
⺠High-glucose alters biomineralization process in osteoblastic cells. ⺠High-glucose raises the amount, but diminishes the quality of mineral deposited. ⺠High glucose increases RANKL, osteocalcin, BSP and Cbfa and decreases OPG expression. ⺠High-glucose increases the expression of IL1beta, IL6, IL8, MCP-1 and IL10 mRNAs. ⺠Expression of TLR-2, -3 and -4 in osteoblastic cells seems susceptible to osmotic stress.
