Abstract
⺠ATF936, a novel calcilytic, functions as an efficacious PTH- secretagogue. ⺠It triggers transient elevations of endogenous PTH in rats and in dogs, and is moderately bone anabolic in rats. ⺠In humans, transient releases of PTH show an exposure profile close to that observed after s.c. teriparatide. ⺠Translational data constitute a proof-of-concept for this chemical class of calcilytics.
