Abstract
⺠Tissues exhibit large scale patterns of planar cell polarity. ⺠Tissue polarity is reflected in the anisotropic distributions of proteins of the planar cell polarity pathway. ⺠Dynamic reorganization of tissues gives rise to flow patterns. Those flows guide the reorientation of tissue polarity. ⺠The resulting tissue polarity is organized such that it typically orients either parallel or perpendicular to the long axis of a tissue.
