Abstract
⺠Proteins by the oral route can have immuno-activity. ⺠Thyrotropin releasing factor (TRH) has intrinsic immuno-activity. ⺠Murine experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis is an animal model for human disease multiple sclerosis. ⺠Thyrotropin releasing factor (TRH) administered orally inhibits murine experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis. ⺠Adoptive transfer of lymphocytes from TRH fed donors into immunized recipients inhibits EAE.
