Abstract
⺠Interleukin-33 (IL-33) levels in biliary atresia (BA) infants were significantly elevated. ⺠The levels of IL-33 in BA infants were found to correlate with gamma-glutamyl transferase levels. ⺠Immunohistochemical analysis revealed positive immunostaining for IL-33 in BA liver tissues. ⺠IL-33 may contribute to disease activity.
