Abstract
⺠Changes in white adipose tissue adipokines may be associated with cancer cachexia. ⺠Subcutaneous and visceral depots are affected by cachexia in different manner. ⺠The subcutaneous depot seems to be an important source of adipokines in cancer cachexia. ⺠The results open new perspectives for the diagnosis and grading of cachexia.
