Abstract
⺠Central obesity promotes the secretion of pro-inflammatory TNF-α, IL-1β, leptin. ⺠Anti-inflammatory IL-4, IL-5 cytokines increase and adiponectin decreases. ⺠This pointed to the importance of leptin/Adiponectin balance. ⺠The positive correlation between IL-4, IL-5. ⺠Points to a possible correlation between central obesity and allergic conditions.
