Abstract
⺠Analyzed MCP-1 levels in GCF, saliva and serum in patients with chronic periodontitis. ⺠Compared these levels with healthy controls at baseline and after phase I therapy. ⺠Significantly high levels of MCP-1 seen in all three fluids of diseased patients. ⺠Marked correlation in levels of MCP-1 seen with increasing severity of disease. ⺠Significantly less MCP-1 after scaling and concordant levels in all three fluids.
