Abstract

âº Omentin-1 is a novel adipocytokine that modulates insulin sensitivity. âº We found that first-degree relatives of diabetic patients had low omentin-1 levels. âº Adiponectin levels were also lower in these subjects than in the healthy controls. âº These adipocytokines may have a potential role in pre-diabetes states.
