Abstract
⺠IL18 gene is a susceptibility locus for myocardial infarction in Europeans. ⺠Specific alleles and haplotypes of IL18 are associated with myocardial infarction. ⺠Screening of IL18 gene variation is helpful in the evaluation of cardiovascular risk.
