Abstract
⺠Prolactin and corticosterone levels are affected by stress in Cape petrels. ⺠These two stress responses are not modulated according to the same factors. ⺠Prolactin levels, but not corticosterone levels, are related to reproductive performances. ⺠These two stress responses are not correlated under any circumstances. ⺠These two hormones mediate different parts of stress responses in wild birds.
