Abstract
⺠We show adiponectin profiles are altered in response to acute and chronic changes in dietary carbohydrate. ⺠Changing to a low carbohydrate diet decreased LMW and increased HMW multimers. ⺠Changing to a high carbohydrate diet increased total and HMW adiponectin concentrations. ⺠Postprandial changes in total and HMW adiponectin concentrations were observed in cats fed a high carbohydrate meal.
