Abstract
⺠Common TCF7L2 variants are associated with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) among Tunisians. ⺠The four tested TCF7L2 variants were in high linkage disequilibrium. ⺠Both T2DM-susceptible and T2DM-protective haplotypes were identified. ⺠TCF7L2 was confirmed as a common T2DM candidate gene.
