Abstract
⺠We report the complete mitochondrial genome of Biston panterinaria. ⺠Mitogenomes are effective markers in the lepidopteran phylogenetic analysis. ⺠Geometroidea have a closer lineage relationship with Bombycoidea than Noctuoidea. ⺠Alignment methods have a limited effect on phylogenetic analysis in the Lepidoptera. ⺠Inference methods and dataset compositions notably affected phylogenetic results.
