Abstract
⺠22 nearly complete mitogenomes of three lineages of T. mauritanica ⺠Each clade seems to have a distinct evolutionary history. ⺠The European clade was shaped by positive or background selection. ⺠The Iberian clade was shaped by a bottleneck event. ⺠In the SE Moroccan clade there is positive selection of several mtDNA variants.
