Abstract
⺠Oocyte small RNA sequences mapped only to the H19 ICR among fifteen gametic DMRs. ⺠DNA sequences corresponding to the small RNAs were deleted from the H19 ICR. ⺠TgM were generated with beta-globin YAC carrying the mutant H19 ICR fragment. ⺠Methylation imprinting was normally established at the mutant H19 ICR. ⺠Deleted DNA sequences from the H19 ICR are dispensable for methylation imprinting.
