Abstract
⺠We cloned a previously unpublished 4 kb tau (MAPT) gene promoter region. ⺠We further analyzed the 4 kb sequence via EMSA and CAT reporter gene clone series. ⺠The MAPT sequence was for the less common H2 haplotype. ⺠EMSA showed potentially important transcription factor interactions. ⺠Reporter clone series revealed promoter regulatory domains.
