Abstract
► Peloruside A, a microtubule stabilising agent, inhibits yeast cell division. ► Paclitaxel, another stabilising agent, does not significantly inhibit yeast growth. ► Deletion of the mitotic checkpoint gene MAD2 increases sensitivity to peloruside. ► Using chemical genetics, genetic interactions with peloruside can be identified. ► Peloruside interacts with cell cycle genes, mitosis, RNA splicing, and trafficking.
