Abstract
⺠Peloruside A, a microtubule stabilising agent, inhibits yeast cell division. ⺠Paclitaxel, another stabilising agent, does not significantly inhibit yeast growth. ⺠Deletion of the mitotic checkpoint gene MAD2 increases sensitivity to peloruside. ⺠Using chemical genetics, genetic interactions with peloruside can be identified. ⺠Peloruside interacts with cell cycle genes, mitosis, RNA splicing, and trafficking.
