Abstract
⺠Altered KIT expression in gliomas is independent of gene amplification. ⺠KIT expression is associated with transcriptional up-regulation. ⺠KIT over-expression in gliomas occurs across low/high grades. ⺠Most KIT immunopositive gliomas co-express receptor and ligand (KITLG) transcripts.
